If water is draining directly into the Drip Tray during the brew cycle, the plastic cap on the metal rod may be broken, prohibiting the rod from fully inserting into the valve, thus, failing to create the required seal to push the water through the Brew Group. Replace the plastic cap with a new Metal Cap for a permanent fix.

• 1. Visit our DIY Repair Video page for instructions on opening your machine, removing the brew group and disassembly of the brew group
• 2. Remove Brew Group from machine.
• 3. Remove and disassemble drain valve.
• 4. Remove plastic white cap from metal rod with pliers.
• 5. Secure metal rod in a vice. Place metal cap on top of the rod where the plastic cap was.
• 6. Gently, strike the flat part of the cap with a rubber hammer, or place a piece of rubber over the cap before striking with a regular hammer.
• 7. Make sure metal cap is tamped down to where the lip on the rod cannot be seen.
• 8. Reassemble drain valve, brew group and reinstall.
